	answer text	<p>The UK Government provided technical support to Nigerian institutions through DFID’s Foster programme from 2016 to 2018 and through the Conflict, Security and Stability Fund. UK support included project management, community participation in clean-up operations, and to government bodies to fulfil their responsibilities as well as monitoring of the overall project. Support was also given for alternative businesses e.g. cassava processing. We have no plans to provide further support at this time due to prioritisation of Aid projects and because the UN Environment Programme and other donors remain engaged through monitoring and advice.</p>
