Her Majesty's Courts and Tribunals Service (HMCTS) hears appeals against Department for Work and Pensions decisions on entitlement to employment and support allowance (ESA).The estimated total cost to HMCTS of ESA appeals during the period April 2008 to March 2011 is summarised in the following table.
