<p>The European Court of Human Rights granted last-minute interim measures which prohibited the removal of three individuals set to be relocated to Rwanda on 14 June 2022. The Government is seeking greater transparency from the European Court of Human Rights on the reasons for their judgment.</p><p>The European Court of Human Rights did not rule that the policy or removals were unlawful. We strongly believe that this project meets our obligations under both national and international law.</p><p>We have been clear from the start that we expect people to make legal challenges or barriers to removal. However, we will do what it takes to deliver this new partnership. A full judicial review is expected to be heard in July.</p>
