[82960]Clare Short: World Bank analysis demonstrates clearly that educating girls has major development impact. Our White Paper commits usto work to ensure that the international community achieves its agreed objective of securing quality primary education for all girlsand boys by 2015. We have committed over £250 million to primary education partnerships with developing countries since 1997. Theseare designed to support and encourage these governments in prioritising spending on primary education.
