	answer text	<p>The Wales Office has always been supportive of the London Welsh School, which I have previously visited. I have recently been in contact with the school to offer reassurance about their eligibility for Free School status, in particular the requirement to demonstrate local demand. I would encourage the school to make an application which would be considered in the normal way.</p>
