Estimates of the number of remaining hard and easy to treat cavity wall homes in Great Britain were published by DECC in the Carbon Plan. It was estimated that at the start of July 2011 there were 7.5 million existing uninsulated cavity walls remaining. Of these, 2.6 million were considered easy to treat and 4.9 million hard to treat.Estimates for April 2012 will be published at 9.30 am on 28 June 2012 as part of the quarterly statistical release, Energy Trends.
