<p>The National Crime Agency (NCA) regularly publishes National Referral Mechanism data but does not collect data about the timescales for reaching reasonable grounds or conclusive grounds decisions by either UKVI or the Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Unit in the NCA.</p><p>Between August 2015 and March 2017, the Home Office ran a pilot to test a new decision-making process. The evaluation of that pilot considered the time taken to reach reasonable and conclusive grounds decisions and this information is detailed in table B6 of the evaluation report, available at <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/an-evaluation-of-the-national-referral-mechanism-pilot" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/an-evaluation-of-the-national-referral-mechanism-pilot</a>.</p><p>The Government has announced reforms to the National Referral Mechanism, which includes measures aimed at improving decision-making timescales, such as the introduction of a new digital system.</p>
