<p>Once identified, those who are terminally ill and have six months or less to live, have their cases handled under fast track rules, which mean their claim must be processed as soon as possible. These claimants will be placed in the support group and receive the higher rate of benefit immediately without undergoing a face-to-face work capability assessment.</p><p>Everyone else will be treated under normal work capability assessment rules.</p>
