<p>The Government do not routinely collect statistics on the proportion of people who have income protection insurance policies or private health insurance policies. However, according to 2012 statistics compiled</p><p><?notus-xml column=909?></p><p>by the Association of British Insurers, 3,164,000 people were covered by income protection insurance in the UK (including 1,891,000 people covered by a group scheme set up by their employer) and 3,222,000 health insurance policies was in force in the UK covering 5,612,000 people. There is no available regional breakdown of these statistics.</p> |
