<p>The number of hospital admissions in England for the past three years can be viewed through recently reported National Health Service data, which is available at the following link:</p><p><a href="https://digital.nhs.uk/supplementary-information/2023/hospital-admissions-for-vaping-related-disorders" target="_blank">https://digital.nhs.uk/supplementary-information/2023/hospital-admissions-for-vaping-related-disorders</a></p><p>Between 2022 and 2023, there were 40 instances of primary or secondary diagnoses for children from 0-19 years, up from 37 between 2021 and 2022.</p><p>Please note that admissions do not represent the number of patients, as a person may have more than one admission within the period, and figures from 2022 to 2023 are provisional.</p><p>Additionally, the ICD-10 code for a vaping related disorder can also be used in combination with other codes to indicate the type of condition being treated at the time.</p><p>We will continue to monitor this and other adverse drug reactions reports, including through the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency Yellow Card reporting system.</p> |
