	answer text	<p>The Government has taken into account EU state aid rules when designing the Capacity Market and our discussions with the Commission cover whether or not state aid may be present, and if there is state aid, whether it is permissible.</p><p>If the Government concludes that it needs to make a formal notification on the Capacity Market we would expect the Commission to make a decision as soon as possible consistent with its procedural regulations. The Commission is aware of the UK's implementation timetable for Electricity Market Reform (EMR) and is working constructively with us to deliver this.</p>
