	answer text	I have been asked to reply on behalf of the Department for Culture, Olympics, Media and Sport.In October 2011, the Government announced £150 million in capital expenditure to improve mobile coverage and quality—known as the Mobile Infrastructure Project. This project is being run by Broadband Delivery UK (BDUK) within this Department. The budget announcement follows on from that initial announcement.This Department is working with other Government Departments, including the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, with Ofcom and with industry to develop the most effective solution to extend mobile coverage to 60,000 rural homes and along at least 10 key roads. We are also engaging with the Devolved Administrations to ensure that local interests are taken into consideration. We expect to begin the procurement by spring 2012, and the project to be completed by 2015.
