	answer text	<p>In the years 2010-11, 2011-12 and 2012-13, the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) carried out 223, 157 and 324 inspections respectively, involving cooling towers and evaporative condensers. HSE did not collect such data on inspections carried out by local authorities in those years.</p><p>In 2013-14, HSE and local authority inspectors are undertaking a special programme of visits to inspect cooling towers and evaporative condensers as part of a wider programme of interventions to improve the management of the risks from Legionella. Between April and September 2013, HSE has carried out 530 inspections, with 90 more undertaken by local authorities.</p>
