	answer text	<p>The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) provides consumers with safety information where products pose risk of harm including through publication of product recalls, alerts and important safety messages on gov.uk. The Intellectual Property Office, part of the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology, delivers consumer awareness campaigns on counterfeit goods.</p><p>OPSS is working across Government and with business, consumer bodies and fire and rescue services to amplify public safety messages on the safety of consumer products, including e-bikes. This includes guidance published in December on the safe purchasing, use and charging of e-bikes.</p>
