	answer text	<p>The EU Steel Action Plan was published on 12 June 2013, and we welcomed it as a proactive, forward-thinking way to tackle issues in the sector. We submitted an Explanatory Memorandum to Parliament on 1 July 2013. HMG will work closely with the EU Commission and other member states as the recommendations are explored further.</p>
