<p>It is for Parliament to determine whether the recommendations of a boundary review should be implemented. The 2013 review was moved to 2018 following an amendment to the Electoral Registration and Administration (ERA) Act 2013.</p><p>Provision of £11.9 million was made for the boundary review that was due to report in 2013. At the time that the ERA Bill received Royal Assent in January 2013, the four Boundary Commissions had spent around £7 million on the review, and that expenditure had already been committed.</p>
