<p>Following publication of the Government’s consultation in November the Association of British Insurers confirmed that the industry was committed to passing on the savings from the proposed reforms. Leading insurance companies including Aviva, Axa and LV= have also publicly committed to pass on savings.</p><p>The impact assessment published at the same time as the consultation document sets out the evidence used to assess the impacts of the Government’s proposals. The consultation sought further data from respondents and a revised impact assessment will be published in due course, taking account of the further data submitted and also of changes the Government has made to its original proposals.</p><p> </p><p>The Government published Part One of its consultation response, covering reforms that require primary and secondary legislation, on 23 February. Part Two, dealing with proposals from the Insurance Fraud Taskforce and the ‘call for evidence’, will follow.</p>
