	answer text	<p>The Government has made no assessment of the effect of HS2 phase 1 and 2 on jobs, employment and growth in Barrow and Furness constituency. However, HS2 Ltd has recently published an initial study from KPMG analysing the regional economic impacts of HS2. This includes an estimate that the annual productivity benefits to the north-west region could be between £1.1 billion and £2.5 billion in 2037 (in 2013 prices), which would represent an increase in output (measured in terms of Gross Value Added) of between 0.6% and 1.4%.</p>
