	answer text	<p>There are no direct employees in the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy paid less than the National or London Living Wage as defined by the Living Wage Foundation.</p><p> </p><p>All of BEIS agency staff and contractors are required to comply with all relevant legislation and are therefore required to pay at least the National Living Wage as a minimum starting salary.</p><p> </p><p>I have asked Chief Executives of the Executive Agencies to respond directly to the Hon Member and these are attached.</p>
