	answer text	<p>The UK has some of the most robust protections in the world against violence towards women and we already comply with the vast majority of the articles of the Istanbul convention, which we signed on 8 June 2012. We need to ensure that all articles are fully met before ratification and we are currently working within the UK Government and with the devolved Administrations to do this.</p>
