	answer text	<p>The UK Government is clear that all crimes directed towards LGBT+ people are completely unacceptable, and have no place in society.</p><p>On the participation of transgender and non-binary players in sport, the Government's overriding sporting objective remains the guarantee of fair and safe competition. It is therefore right that sports bodies have their own rules on trans issues, and can determine the right position for their own sport.</p>
