Local Councils and Councillors should NOT be affiliated to any political party. |
Councillors should be representatives of their wards and areas, and not bound to any political party. They need to carry out budgets and responsibilities as laid down by a central government, but act in the best interest of the people they represent, their wards, their town/area, their county. |
At any council meeting which you are allowed to attend you will witness the major parties either proposing or voting against one another as dictated by their party, regardless of what is right or wrong for the people they represent. All budgets and legal requirements will always be set by central government. The councillors should have no official affiliation with any party. Their priorities should be their ward, their town/area, their county, serving their people not a political party. |
