	answer text	<p>I am aware that electricity prices for industry in the UK are higher than in some other EU member states. This is why the Government has put in place compensation for the indirect costs of the EU Emissions Trading Scheme and, subject to state aid approval is introducing compensation for the cost of the Carbon Price Floor and an exemption for Energy Intensive Industries from the costs of Contract for Difference.</p>
