The Work Capability Assessment (WCA) is based on an individual's functional ability rather than the condition itself. It is therefore important to review claimants appropriately to ensure they are receiving the correct level of support.

We are committed to ensuring that the WCA assesses people as fairly and as accurately as possible, which is why it is subject to continuous review and refinement.
