	answer text	<p>The Business Taskforce presented its report to Cabinet on 15 October. The Prime Minister hosted a meeting on 25 October in Brussels with Commission President Barroso and a group of other EU leaders, at which taskforce members presented their report. The European Council explicitly welcomed the steps taken by member states to identify excessively burdensome legislation, and agreed on the need for further substantial efforts to reduce the burden of EU regulation. It will return to this subject at its meeting in June. The Government will continue to press the EU to implement the recommendations in the taskforce report and to move faster to reform the way it regulates.</p>
