<p>Responsibility for stop smoking campaigns transferred to the Department on 1 October 2021 as part of the formation of the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities. We are unable to provide any information for work conducted by Public Health England.</p><p>Expenditure by the Department on smoking cessation promotion for the period 1 October to 31 October 2021 was £165,000.</p><p>Expenditure by the Department on smoking cessation promotion for the period 1 November 2021 to 31 October 2022 was £1,320,000.</p><p>The figures reference expenditure for advertising on television, radio, national press, regional press, out of home (outdoor), social and digital advertising.</p><p>All figures rounded to the nearest £10,000 and do not include VAT.</p><p>Recruitment advertising and media partnerships are not included. Paid search is not included.</p><p>Figures produced for financial year 2022/2023 are provisional due to the proximity to the end of the financial year.</p> |
