	answer text	<p>The Ministry of Defence only holds information on deaths to UK armed forces personnel which occurred while in-service. From 1 January 2003 to 6 September 2013, there were eight confirmed cases where UK armed forces personnel have died as a result of US armed forces air strikes confirmed through the outcome of a coroner's inquest. Five occurred as a result of operations in Afghanistan and three as a result of operations in Iraq.</p>
