	answer text	<p>The English Housing Survey provides information on households and housing stock. The proportion of Private Rented Sector households has remained relatively stable for nearly a decade; the PRS was 19% of households in 2013-14 and continues to be at 19% according to the latest data for 2021-22.  The repeal of Section 21 which is a manifesto commitment will give security of tenure to millions of tenants, empowering them to challenge poor practice and unfair rent increases. We will bring forward legislation as soon as parliamentary time allows.</p>
