The Department for International Development (DFID) has set aside an allocation of £20.9 million to deal with rapid onset disasters for each remaining year of the comprehensive spending review period to 31 March 2015. We also have additional funds available to draw on should they be required as disasters occur.Following DFID's Multilateral Aid Review and the UK Government Response to the Humanitarian Emergency Response Review we have also agreed predictable multi-year humanitarian core funding of £768.9 million for UN agencies and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies over the comprehensive spending review period 2011-12 to 2014-15.
