<p>We are committed to doing all we can to address the issues around female offending so we can better protect the public and deliver more effective rehabilitation. We know that female offenders have complex and specific rehabilitative needs and as part of our estates transformation programme we are, for the first time, designing community prisons tailored to the needs of women.</p><p>We will continue to explore options for potential new sites for women’s prisons and will outline further proposals in due course.</p> |
