<p>The Government has worked closely with policing stakeholders to understand the impact that changes to police officer pensions will have on their budgets in 2019/20 and beyond.</p><p>The Police Remuneration Review Body will submit their recommendations for the police award for 2019/20 to the Government in May. The Government will very carefully consider their recommendations and the impact on force budgets.</p><p>The Government’s proposed funding settlement for the police for 2019/20 was announced last month and provides additional funding of up to £970 million, including additional Government grant funding, council tax precept and investment in national priorities. This substantial increase will enable forces to meet their genuine financial pressures as well as to invest in key capabilities.</p><p> </p>
