The European Statutory Instruments Committee, under the remit of Schedule 7 of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018, recommended that the appropriate procedure for the instrument is for a draft of it be laid before, and approved by a resolution, of each House before it is made. The committee was active from July 2018 until the 29 May 2024 when the 58th Parliament was dissolved.
