§ Mr. CabornOfficials carry out marine historic environment duties on behalf of my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State. Within the last 12 months various licences have been issued that allow archaeologists and recreational divers access to protected wrecks. In addition the Departments consultation paper "Protecting our Marine Historic Environment: Making the System Work Better" was published in March 2004.
