§ Mr. MilibandThe majority of schools capital funding is now allocated to local authorities and schools by needs-related formulae. Authorities invest according to priorities agreed locally in their asset management plans. The following table shows the total of my Department's capital allocations to the City of York local education authority and its schools since the formation of the unitary authority in 1996–97.
