To ask the Secretary of State for Health how many employees the Commission for Patient and Public Involvement in Health has; and when their contracts will end. [188108]

The Commission for Patient and Public Involvement in Health (CPPIH) has a full staffing complement of 197 whole-time equivalent (wte) posts. At present, the CPPIH has 141.5 wte posts and 40.5 posts filled by temporary staff, including individuals on fixed term contracts and agency staff.

The impact of the abolition of the CPPIH on staff contracts will be assessed on an individual basis with staff, as the details of the new arrangements are developed.
