§ The Secretary of State for the Home Department (Mr. David Blunkett)I am pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Hampson, currently Chief Constable of West Mercia Constabulary, as Director General of the National Criminal Intelligence Service.
Peter Hampson will take over from the current Director General, John Abbott, who retires on 21 March this year.
