For each of the most recent five years for which figures are available, what are (a) the total funds received from Brussels in respect of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP); (b) the total paid out to farmers from CAP funds; and (c) the total cost to public funds of administering and monitoring the CAP in the United Kingdom. The Rural Payments Agency (RPA) was established on 16 October 2001. The information provided in the table below details for each financial year since the establishment of RPA (a) the total funds received from Brussels in respect of the CAP, (b) the total paid out to farmers from CAP funds and (c) the total cost of administering the CAP.

The figures for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are a matter for the devolved administrations.

This information has been extracted from the RPA's annual report and accounts for the relevant years.
