My right honourable friend the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland and my honourable friend the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Northern Ireland with responsibility for victims' issues (Angela Smith), are considering the next phase of victims' policy and mechanisms to deal with Northern Ireland's past. These are very sensitive issues and consideration is still being given as to the most effective way of engaging victims and survivors of the Troubles.
