Further to the Written Answer by Lord McIntosh of Haringey on 16 September 2004 (WA 205–206), whether there is to be a test pistol shooting event in the year before the Olympic Games in 2012; when it will be held and over what period; and whether the event will cover the whole range of Olympic weapons. The details of an Olympic test event for shooting will be determined by the International Olympic Committee, the International Shooting Sport Federation and the Organising Committee for the Olympic Games once the host city for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games has been announced.
