§ The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Department for Culture, Media and Sport (Lord McIntosh of Haringey)The National Heritage Act 1980 (as amended by the National Heritage Act 1997) sets out the type of projects to which the trustees of the National Heritage Memorial Fund may give financial assistance. The trustees' policy on decisions as to which projects they give financial assistance is a matter for them, independent of government.
