Whether any proposals to resubmit or continue (under the Extradition Act 2003) a request for extradition, initially received before 31 December 2003, have been made to the United Kingdom by any country since that date; and, if so, by which countries. [HL285]
§ Baroness Scotland of AsthalTwo requests previously made under the Extradition Act 1989 have been withdrawn and resubmitted under the Extradition Act 2003. One request, for two people, came from the USA and the other request, for one person, came from the Czech Republic. The requesting states took this action on their own initiative and did not submit proposals to the UK before doing so.
