Mr. Rosindell

To ask the Secretary of State for Health if he will make a statement on care home funding in the London borough of Havering. [189251]

Dr. Ladyman

Neither councils nor strategic health authorities are allocated funding to be spent on care homes in particular. It is for councils and strategic health authorities to decide in the light of local circumstances and priorities how much of the general funding that they receive should be spent on care homes.
