To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs how many farms are located within land designated as(a) moorland within the upland severely disadvantaged area and (b) other land within the upland severely disadvantaged area. [186560]

The number of farms that have submitted an area aid application for 2004 and are located within land designated as(a) moorland within the severely disadvantaged area is 30 and (b) other land within the severely disadvantaged area is 2,778.
