To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many motories were(a) fined and (b) banned from driving as a result of the evidence of speed cameras in each of the last five years; how much money was raised from fines in each year; and if he will make a statement. [187001]

Available information for England and Wales on the number of fixed penalties and court fines ordered to be paid and on the number of persons disqualified from driving for the offence of 'speeding detected by camera' in 1998 to 2002 is shown in tables A and B respectively. Data for 2003 will not be available until the autumn.

Information on the revenue raised from speeding fines is not available centrally.
