§ Miss Melanie JohnsonThe Department is currently funding a £3.5 million research programme designed to identify and evaluate potential treatment for Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease. Potential therapies arising from that research will be assessed using a clinical trial protocol the Medical Research Council has developed in conjunction with the Department.
