HC Deb 07 September 2004 vol 424 c950W
Harry Cohen

To ask the hon. Member for Roxburgh and Berwickshire, representing the House of Commons Commission, what assessment the Commission has made of the need for crèche facilities to be made available for people attending official meetings with hon. Members in the House.(187677)

Sir Archy Kirkwood

It is important that visitors are made to feel welcome on the Parliamentary Estate. However, the Commission has not made any assessment of the need for crèche facilities to be made available for people attending official meetings with hon. Members. I should point out that very little use is made of the baby care and changing facilities we already provide, and that the reception desks have no record of any request for crèche facilities for visitors.
