How many convictions for the smuggling of illegal meat have been recorded by HM Customs and Excise in the past two years ending in October 2004. [HL4930]

Since HM Customs and Excise assumed responsibility for anti-smuggling controls in April 2003 four people have been convicted of smuggling offences under the Products of Animal Origin (Third Country Imports) (England) 2004 Regulations.
