To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many people from EU accession countries arrived at UK international(a) airports and (b) bus stations on the first week of May. [173182]

Since 1 May, members of the EU accession countries are subject to the same immigration controls as citizens of other EU member states. We are therefore not able to say how many passengers arrived from EU accession countries. Data from the International Passenger Survey (IPS), showing the total number of visits by nationals of all the EU accession countries in May, will be available early in July.
