§ Ms BlearsAt present, police forces in England and Wales operate to standards set by the Association of Chief Police Officers, as follows
arrest/summons reports—90 per cent. within 24 hours of the event.court results—100 per cent. within 72 hours of receipt from the courts.Performance standards have been under review, and a code of practice under the Police Reform Act 2002 has been drafted and circulated for comments. The final code will be published in the near future.
