To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what percentage of official vehicles used by his Department are run on(a) petrol, (b) diesel, (c) liquid petroleum gas and (d) compressed natural gas. [172773]

The Northern Ireland Office and Northern Ireland Departments run a total of 248 vehicles. The percentage of each type of fuel used is outlined in the table.

In addition to the vehicles summarised above, the Department of the Environment has a fleet of 252 mopeds which are used to train pupils undertaking Road Traffic Studies at school, of which 251 are run on petrol and one on diesel.
